What I'm Building for the Next Generation
My daughter will grow up in a world where AI is as normal as electricity. Where "career" means something completely different. Where the skills that made her parents successful might be obsolete.
This terrifies most parents. It excites me.
The Old Model Is Already Dead
When I was young, the path was clear: get good grades, get a degree, get a job, climb the ladder. That model assumed stability. It assumed your employer would exist in twenty years. It assumed the skills you learned in school would still matter at retirement.
None of those assumptions hold anymore.
What I'm Teaching Instead
I'm not teaching my daughter to prepare for a specific career. I'm teaching her to be adaptable. To learn quickly. To build things. To understand systems.
She sees me working with AI tools. She knows daddy talks to computers and they help him build things. That's not magic to her - it's just how work happens. By the time she's working age, she'll have fifteen more years of this normalization.
The Businesses I'm Building
Every business I build now has a question attached: "Will this matter in ten years? Twenty?"
I'm not interested in arbitrage opportunities that AI will eliminate. I'm building things that require human judgment, relationships, and creativity - amplified by AI, not replaced by it.

Options mean: understanding how technology works, how money works, how systems work. It means being a builder, not just a consumer. It means seeing change as opportunity, not threat.
The Homework Assignment
Every parent reading this: your kids are watching how you respond to change. Are you afraid of AI? They'll be afraid. Are you curious about it? They'll be curious.
The best inheritance isn't financial. It's mental models that work in any environment.
